CALIA is an independent laboratory specialized in the analysis and interpretation of industrial lubricants and fluids.

Founded in 2009 in Loire-Atlantique by David Baule, CALIA builds on more than 30 years of experience in in-service analysis and equipment diagnostics.

We support our clients across many sectors to evaluate the condition of their equipment, anticipate failures and guide their maintenance decisions.

Our expertise notably covers hydraulic systems, compressors, refrigeration installations, engines, transmissions, as well as many specific industrial fluids.

“I am an entrepreneur in the field and I work on oil-hydraulic production systems for my clients. My mission mainly consists of maintaining clients’ equipment in good working condition. Preventive maintenance is therefore part of my activity. On equipment using hydraulic energy, it is essential for me to carry out oil checks. This allows me to warn the client if an oil change is necessary (no unnecessary oil changes especially on large tanks), to detect if a component begins to weaken (leaking water-oil exchanger), and to remain compliant with manufacturers’ recommendations regarding hydraulic fluid (safety of people and equipment).
